Degrees and Licenses: Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering; Master of Science in Chemical Engineering; both from University of Southern California. All course work was completed at Columbia University for the PhD degree in chemical engineering, but the research and dissertation were not completed because of a job transfer from New York City to the oil refinery in Abadan, Iran.

Experience includes the following: 34-year career with major oil company (Texaco, Inc.); Professional Engineering licenses in six states (NY, TX, IL, VA, IA and WI); design engineering with expertise in catalytic reforming, catalytic cracking, catalytic polymerization, alkylation, delayed coking, hydrotreating, crude oil refining; process engineering with hands-on experience in four petroleum refineries in heat transfer, distillation, absorption, pumping, pressure safety valve (relief valve) systems, etc. design of spread sheets to create a computerized tracking system to assist in compliance with environmental regulations for production of reformulated and conventional gasolines; blending of gasoline, diesel fuel oil and aviation jet fuel; and teaching of refining operations. Experience also includes serving as an expert witness in the above areas.
